Recipe: Spicy Vodka Sauce (Gigi Hadid's Pasta)

This sauce is super easy to make and it's a delicious meal to make for both you and your friends (the leftovers are super yummy as well)

Ingredients:

1 tbsp Olive Oil

1/4 Diced Red Onion

2 Cloves Garlic

1 can Tomato Paste

1tbsp Vodka/Wine

1/4 cup of Heavy Cream (35%)

1 tbsp Butter

1/4 cup of freshly grated Parm

1 tbsp Red Pepper Flakes

Instructions

1. Dice your red onion and garlic.

2. Put a medium-sized saucepan (larger depending on how much pasta you are making) over medium heat, once it is hot add the oil to the pan along with the onion and garlic.

3. Put a pot of water on to boil while you make the sauce.

4. Saute your onion and garlic until it is fragrant and the onion is translucent (make sure you stir it, you don't want to burn it).

5. Add the can of tomato paste and mix the onion and garlic into the tomato paste, cook for about 5-8 minutes, while cooking the tomato paste it should begin to darken (this is what you want!!).

6. Once it has darkened add in the alcohol that you chose and allow it to cook off so that you don't get a bitter taste, continue to stir it for a few minutes to make sure that it's cooked off.

7. Add the red pepper flakes and them in.

8. Add the heavy cream and stir in, then turn off the heat for your saucepan.

9. add in butter, and parm and mix all together.

10. your pasta should be done now so reserve some pasta water (about a 1/4 cup) and drain the rest. Add the drained pasta to the sauce, and depending on how thick you want it to add a little pasta water at a time until it reaches the desired thickness.

Notes:

Something fun to add to this dish is sundried tomatoes, they are so yummy, and add a little something extra!

Also making Tofu with it in a "tofu parmesan" (Just breadcrumbs and parmesan baked in the oven for 20 minutes) adds some protein that is super important for keeping your body happy and healthy!
