Welcome readers! This blog is being created for a course I am taking at University. The purpose of my blog is going to be creating a genius hour project, this blog will be focused on cooking recipes that are vegetarian, and trying to improve my ability to cook. My goal is to create a project that people will find helpful and useful. This blog will include photos of the food I make, the recipes that I used, and how my experience cooking was! My progress will be measured through the new and fun recipes I make, and the progress I make through the completion of this project; further, I am interested to see if any of the new recipes will make it into my regular cooking routine.
Something I struggled with when I went to university was the lack of options I was able to have as a vegetarian when I needed to eat. I lived in a residence that did not have a kitchen and therefore I was able to eat what was provided in the cafeteria. I ended up becoming extremely sick because of the lack of vital nutrients that were missing from the meals the cafeteria had provided. I ended up losing 15 pounds because of the lack of proper options the cafeteria had provided. So my goal is to help students like me who have dietary restrictions avoid the problems I had when I moved away to school.
